JCI Strategy Academy is a training for JCI members who want to learn how to transfer a strategic plan into action. The academy is suitable especially to those who are aiming to be in a leadership position in work life. Participants should be familiar with the concept of strategic thinking and should possess basic knowledge of strategy process and how to create a strategy. This type of knowledge could have been gained through education or participation in different types of strategy processes

This training caters to individuals who are already acquainted with the concepts of strategic thinking and have a basic understanding of strategy processes, which might have been acquired through education or prior participation in various strategy initiatives.

The trainers of Strategy Academy will be Finnish and international JCI members who are qualified by the standards and are chosen based on their training skills, relevant experience and strategy knowledge. We also have business leaders, mentors and directors training participants during the weekend.The team trainers will guide their teams from the time of prior to the academy weekend, to the follow up period after the academy weekend.
Eeva Välikangas, JCI Vaasa, Finland
JCI Strategy Academy 2024 Head Trainer Eeva Välikangas is an experienced business trainer with a great amouth of knowledge in JCI and strategic thinking. Currently she is working in Vaasa University of Applied Sciences as a business teacher. With more than a decade of dedicated service to JCI, Eeva has served for example as a trainer, strategy facilitator and local president.
Eeva's educational background includes a Master of Economic Sciences in Human Resources Management and a Master of Arts. She's also a qualified teacher, with a deep interest in educational excellence and online learning. Currently, Eeva is completing her fourth academic degree, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning. Her professional passion lies in strategic thinking, motivation, and intrinsic rewards. In JCI Strategy Academy, Eeva's mission is to create an unforgettable weekend, full of insightful learning and team working experiences - long lasting memories for all participants.
Eeva is passionate about motivating individuals in the process of implementing strategies. She even chose this as the subject of her master's thesis, with a focus on motivating in JCI, which she researched through a comprehensive survey during the JCI Strategy Academy 2019.
